Castel Gandolfo (Roma)
On the evening of Friday 9 June, the Eni Historical Archive of Castel Gandolfo will be open to all visitors wishing to discover the treasures it holds. The opportunity has emerged from participation in the Notte degli archivi' [Night of the archives], an initiative promoted in conjunction with International Archive Day, as part of Archivissima, the first Italian festival dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of historical archives, which will take place all over Italy on 8-11 June 2023.
This year's theme is the carnet de voyage. An exciting story told through travel notes, deeply felt within Eni, which contains an infinite number of suggestions, stimuli, memories and visions. Valuable, unique information is conveyed through thousands of traces, diaries, video footage, snapshots, and testimonies left by people from Eni who created the history of this great company while searching for energy in faraway, difficult countries. Men and women ready to leave their country, to be surprised and enthused in the face of whatever fresh challenge, so that post-war Italy could be rebuilt. Inside the archive, visitors will have a chance to participate in and relive this moving story, without filters.
